How do I get my MAC Address?

I have an IBM Thinkpad, and I am trying to find out the MAC Address!!
I tried the getmac /s computer from the command prompt but its asking me for my password, and it is not recognizing any ones I would've input.
Is this the only way to obtain it?

open a command prompt. type
ipconfig /all
then enter. your mac address will be what they call the physical address. if you have more than one ethernet adapter you will have a mac address for each ie wireless and wired ethernet.
