VPN connectivity issue

Is there a "different" way to ping over the vpn?

connect to the vpn. ping the server's ip address.

if you havent solved this problem yet, we had a similar problem you will have to go to your server and make sure all of her sessions are removed. her crash a few days prior may have left a bad session still floating on the server even though you have session timeouts enabled.
