during and post build questions

ok, so my 7800gt is coming later today and the rest of my parts hopefully tomorrow friday latest.I need to know how i can check during the building process to see if each part works so i know if something is DOA.IM guessing once u connect the power u turn on the PSU and see if any LEDs light up. After the build, how do i install all of the drivers and OS and stuff.thanks

The minimum is RAM, CPU and Video card attached to see if the basics work.

After everything is connected and secured, you would turn on computer, pop in OS Disc, Boot off of it, format Harddrive, then it will install windows.

After windows is installed youll want to activate it (Over the phone is the safest way), then you install all the drivers by poping in the appropriate disc and following the instructions presented to you.

Not that hard.
