Serial Hard Drive Problem

Yes, sata ide drive is connected to a sata port. When activated in bios, drive get's identified, but cdrom players are not reconized in bios
 
so it's the CDROM drive also then, find out what the CDROM is then download the correct drivers from a site like www.driverguide.com, they are usually put in C:\Windows\System32
with the hard drive, did you accidently put in the jumper onto the wrong pins? because most drives have an option to limit the capacity with a jumper.
 
Well before even getting a chance to load an operating system, is where the problem is the BOIS.

The cdrom is connected to ide port 2 and set to master.


I did not see nothing in the where I have to asign sata to or as ide port 1

When using a regular ribbon type ide drive and pluggin it into port 1, everything works fine. drive and cdrom get identified.
