memory confusion

My question is why would a computer read a 256 memory stick as a 128? in the computer that im using now, i have (1) 128 and (1) 256 and the computer says that there is 352 mb of memory.

Maybe because thats all the memory your computer can handle?

try switching thier locations. put the 256 where the 128 stick is.
