Don't use the soprano as it has cheap plastics at front and no vents for the front intake fan.

I have just used a WD hdd in a build I did for someone else and the build quality was very poor, the section you put the cables in moved around and the welding round the edge was poorly done. I sugest a Seagate hdd. Get SATA instead of PATA.

Ive never had any problems with WD hard drives. There is the chance that you might get a "bad" one with any brand. I totally agree with the SATA part though.

You will be much happier with SATA.
1) its faster
2) the cable is about 2mm thick and 1cm wide, compared to the beastly size of PATA.

Im not sure which mobo you are getting, but i would choose the MSI Neo-F one over the infinity.
