How can I unlock a locked HDD?

I have a hard drive that has been locked, and I heard there are programs out there that can unlock a locked hard drive. Does anyone know of any of these programs? Any experience with them? Thanks!

this hard drive is from an xbox, and was locked (the hdd has its own key, and can be locked/unlocked using that key). It can only be unlocked with the original xbox, but i don't have it.

Anyways, I want to use the hdd for a pc, but I dont know how to unlock it. I have heard of programs called hddunlock and such, but I don't know about them.
