Yeah the X2 4400+ also gives you dual 1mb L2 cache instead of just dual 512k cache. 4400+ is the way to go for dual core i'd say

I guess it all depends on how much your willing to spend. You can notice the speed change between the processors somewhat, but they're both good IMO. If you don't want to spend as much, buy the 3800+ X2, and your option to OverClock it or not. If you have money out the Wazoo, then go for the 4400+ X2. Doesn't make much sense not to get the better of the two if you have the money.

get the opty 165! thats a 1mbx2 l2 cache.. and its cheaper, just overclock!
