switching cd drive....:(

hi, i need to switch a cd drive form an old dell to a new computer i'm building (actually its done except for the cd drive)

how do i handle it and whats precautions do i need to do before removing it and putting it in my computer

Unscrew it, and rescrew it into the new machine. There's no trick to optical drives. Just try not to throw it as hard as you can into the wall. They're tough devices, so you don't have to be overly-cautious.
