Motherboard beeping... No video on monitor

I just ordered all my parts for a new pc. I connected everything, and the first problem i encountered was the bios not being able to boot the os cd. When i tried to fiddle aroung with the connections of the cd drive and readjusted the heatsink's clip, the motherboard just emmited five short beeps when turned on. The psu also starts to spin fast afterwards. I have an asus motherboard.

List all components. (I know you have some in sig, but I want you to list ALL!)

Make sure you have all power connectors to motherboard and Video card attached.

Clear CMOS.

Unattach everything but RAM, CPU and Video card, then try booting.
