6600GT, Please help quick

There is a BFG 6600GT on eBay ending in 1 hour. It's 7 months used going for $100 Canadian + $5 shipping. The cheapest 6600GT I can find new is $170 canadian for an eVGA + $30 shipping and tax.

I have a p2.4 with 1 gig of PC2100. I wanted a 6800GS, but they are $279 canadian or a used 6800GT for about the same price. Not sure if the GS is worth $200 more though or if I should get a brand new 6600GT for the little extra. I'd wait to see what's up with the 7600 series, but I don't know if they'll be AGP. Please help....

Sounds like a deal as long as you find the seller to be reasonably reliable.

Would the 6600GT make me happy playing Doom 3? I have an ATI 9200 right now. It plays it at medium settings on 800x600, but it's still pretty choppy so it should be a huge upgrade from that. I just wanted a 6800GS so my AGP would last a couple more years. I don't know if the 6600GT can do that, but it is pretty cheap.

It'll kick the **** out of a 9200. 6600gt was kindof 'the' card when doom 3 was the game to have.
