Never ending startup on Windows Xp Home: Please help

Hi, im in safe mode at the moment but yeah, when i try to start windows normally, it stays on the windows logo and the loading bar thing. Does anyone have any idea's on what is causing this? Thank you

Does the progress bar move or does it completely freeze? Have you installed anything recently?

since you can get into safemode, run last known good config or repair xp with the xp cd
