I have $1540 and I plan on buying a pc from newegg.com , and i have to pay for shipping to 99669 (zip code) out of that money, and since i live in alaska shipping is pricy.

well so far the best I can do for that money with shipping is:

amd 3700+
dual evga 7800gts
dual 80gb hitachi sata II hdd's (for use in raid 0)
cooler master centurion 5 case (the only cases I use)
abit a8n-sli
corrsair 2gb (2x 1gb) ddr400 vale select
msi turbo power 500watt power supply
sony dual layer dvd burner
nec floppy drive
windows xp home oem

if u can come up with a more power configuration from newegg for $1540 with shipping to 99669 please let me know

Go for a single 7800gtx 512mb'#s you will see more performance from it.

Go for a OCZ/Antec/PCP&C/enermax/seasonic/Hiper and the rest for the PSU.

Consider going for a single bigger harddrive(?)

Go for a AMD X2 3800 or if you can squeze it in a 4400.

i agree but, a dual-core opty would be better since you can overclock it to fx-60 speeds.
