dual 7800gt's or ati x1800xt

Hey what would be better for performance and have a good re-sell value?

A: dual 7800gt's with 256mb each

or
B: single x1800xt with 512mb

Im asking this becasue Im building a new pc, and I generally use my pcs for a few months and then sell them on ebay for more than I paid and buy better ones and repeat the process. PLus i just want good performance.

I'd say 2 7800 gts.

if 1 7800GTX is better then a X1800XT and two 7800GT's are somewhat better then one 7800GTX, so if you do some caluclations, then two 7800GT"s are better then 1 X1800XT

but 7800GTX 512MB is greater then all

I don't know, but you could probably sell the 2 7800GTs for more and say, "OMG!!!11 Look TWO graphics cards!!!11!". But price/performance wise I would say not to get SLi.

Like Adam02 said, get the X1900XTX.

I dont know why you would go dual in the first place, waste of space atm, a 7800GT can run anything you throw at it.

I plan on spending about $600 on my video , so Im guessing from your comments that a single x1800xt with 512mb would be better than dual 7800gt's with 256mb each in sli?

(1) X1800XT 512MB scores 9500+ in 3Dmark05 = $575
(1) 7800GTX 512MB scores 8500+ in 3Dmark05 = $750

You tell me what is the better performance / price ratio?

Overclock those GT's with an ASUS A8N32 & 2 GIG of RAM & A 2.6GHz+ AMD CPU and you'll be well in the 11,000's with (2) 7800GT's at a mere $600....
