someone else made a post of some guys that did it on thier own. It was like a web-log style. Lots of pictures. They didn't use expensive parts though. I think they overclocked like a 400mhz PII or something.

yea i remember that they just used a plastic tub and didn't believe it would work so just used old hardware that they could afford to lose
 
I knew non conductive liquid was a possibility but I never knew that it had been done until now, that's just crazy but not for the average modder, you have to be a bit crazy to do that. I don't think id even try that on my old P1 200mhz.
 
why? The only danger is staining your carpet or something. It has to be something you're willing to toss out like a Pentium processor. It's not really dangerous at all... Just remember not to toss the hard drive in.

IMO, it would look MUCH better using distilled water. it would be clear, and woundnt go bad and smell.
 
because it was ionized from the parts

I would like to try this, but I don't have parts I can afford to throw away just yet...
