I am a student and must print very large documents on my LaserJet 1200 series printer. Problem is that the printer prints very large documents extreamly slow.

So I called HP to see which memory chip I need and for how much.
They stated that I need a 100 pin SDRAM. They only had one instoce which was 32mb with a model # of C7845-67901 for $275!!!!!!!!!! Holy Crapola!

My question..... I realize I can get it cheaper else whare, but do I need to buy that exact model # or will ANY 100 pin SDRAM chip work?

In my experince, usually any ram does work. For the price of a 100 pin 32meg SD-RAM stick you cant go wrong trying this option.

I have never put extra ram in printers, but in a Cisco 2500 I had to replace the ram and it worked with most ram that was the same type :)
