If you have a quick restore disk, it will put your computer back to factory condition. Yes, that means losing all your data as it foramts the hard drive. So only use it as a last resort, and try and get a XP disc.

I'm guessing its an OEM computer, so they will either give you a quick restore disc, or a backup partition. If its the restore disc, then he can as a last restore use that. Insert it, restart and the disc will boot and do the formating, and restore the computer to factory condition.

I didnt have that with Dell. All it had were the drivers, the cd was extra $$
