This isn't exactly a problem but I wasn't sure where else to post this. I have two CD-ROM drives, both the exact same model and make, also both only audio burners (to my knowledge). I was curious and I decided to attempt and burn a video on a disk. Low and behold, it worked! I tried it on my DVD player in the living room and it played fine. My question is do all CD burners also burn video or is something up here? I thought you had to buy burners specifically for DVD burning usage. Here's the link to the drive.

This is probebly a rediculous question but it puzzled me so I thought I'd ask.

yes u do need to buy specific burners to burn "DVD's" but to burn VCD (video cd) you can do with the average cd burner...the main diffrence u will notice is picture/sound quality but other than that there isnt much diffrence between the 2...oh and some dvd players cant play VCD
