If you can actually find the 512MB version and have the money I would say get it. How much is it?

I was looking more towards 256MB ones as they were more my price range

The eVGA 7800 gt is a great card and is around $300 at Newegg

DO NOT spend that much money on the 512mb version, the G71 and R580 are right around the corner!

it would be a good idea to wait until the g71 core comes out then either buy one of those or wait for a price drop before you even think about getting a 7800GTX 512

True, the G71 will destroy all 7800 GT/GTX brand cards. And I can imagine mid-year games will demand no less than a G71 based card for decent play at decent settings.

if you get the G71 core gfx, you can expect 1600*1200 Full Setting/AA/AF on UT07 at reasonable fps.
