The Saitek Programmable Pad

Hi all,
I got my Saitek Gamers Keyboard, and while I like it, I am a little dissapointed how the 9 button programmable pad that comes with it seems so primed for gaming. Is there any way to configure it for anything else, like open Firefox, or anything?

your best bet is to check the software bundled with the keyboard if any, check the options thoroughly and there should be that kind of option, well that's what i'd expect from a keyboard of that quality.
