I have heard that although not indicated in the manual, the 7800 GT needs to have two 4-pin connectors out to the power supply. For a couple of weeks I did not have mine set up as such and was told by a local techie that my card could have burned out parts, impairing performance as such. Can anyone tell me how I can figure out if my card has been ruined and is underperforming because of my original failure to attach both 4-pin connectors?
If it is any help, I saw basically no difference in performance once both connectors were plugged.
