Hi, this is my first post here, but I have done a lot of reading here. I just ordered an Hp d4100e. Only things I want to change are the video card, add more ram and maybe the sound card depending on how it sounds. I need some reccomendations for a video card around $150. The 6600gt seems to be popular for this price range, but i'd like to see some more options. This pc uses the Radeon Xpress 200P chipset. Here are the specs.

- HP Pavilion d4100e Customizable DT
- Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Media Center Edition
- AMD Athlon(TM) 64 X2 3800+ dual-core - 2.0GHz
- 512MB DDR-400MHz dual channel SDRAM (2x256)
- 160GB 7200 rpm SATA Hard Drive
- LightScribe Double Layer 16X max. DVD+/-R/RW drive
- 16X max. DVD-ROM
- 9-in-1 memory card reader, 2 USB 2.0, 1 IEEE 1394
- 3.5 in. 1.44MB Floppy Drive
- 56K bps data & fax modem
- None
- NVIDIA GeForce 6200se
- Integrated 5.1 Capable Sound w/ front audio ports
- HP Keyboard, HP Scroller Mouse
- Microsoft(R) Works 8.0/Money 2006/MSN Encarta Plus
- HP vs19c 19 inch LCD Monitor

I would get the 6800gs if I were you, since you really want to upgrade you might as well upgrade to somethign that will last awhile for a minimal price increase.

eVGA 6800GS, with that rebate it's a steal right now, do it. Later on, buy another 512mb stick of ram.
