Quicktime Problem

Hey

Heres the problem:

Whenever I start up my Quicktime application< it flash for like 2 seconds and then closes...it has been happening alot and it even happens when I install ITunes and Half Life...What going on?

Can anyone help me?

Specifically...
When the Installer for Half Life appears..it just blinks off...
