recovering photos from hard drive

Ok here is the deal. Seems that my hard drive is not been recognized even put it on another computer and nothing. Now I dont mind having to get a new hard drive but how can i get Pictures of my two sons since this is where i was storing them. There is other information that I would love to get but would be happy just to be able to retrive these

If you can't access the drive or its not being recongized then you can't retrieve the files off it by PC. You will need to pay big bucks to have a company do it.

Any Idea what the cost of this is?

i have seen it cost between $1,000 and $5,000 but they generally can recover all of your data.
