Well back a few weeks ago Newegg was as cheap as ZipZoomFly. Then something happened I think it was because AMD wanted home users to buy the 3800 x2 instead so all the retailers raised there prices but ZipZoomFly didn't.

And yea you should get a new heatsink and fan if you're gonna overclock.

And yes, the Zalman will greatly benefit you. Opterons get to their high speeds with little voltage, however they run hotter than Athlon 64s, so a new HSF will indeed help. Also, may I suggest getting Arctic Silver 5 thermal compund? Its only $6 and can reduce your temperatures as much as 15*C in some cases, over the course of 2 weeks. Average temperature decrease due to AS5 is around 7-10*C, VERY good for $6.
