Trouble reaching some websites

I can no longer reach certain websites, for example www.kfi640.com and a few others as I stumble upon them. I have cable modem and am able to reach the websites with another computer.

I've removed Spybot and AdAware, disabled McAfee, set all of my internet security settings similar to the computer that works and am now pulling out my hair.

Can anybody help?

I receive a message that the connection has timed out or is not available.

go to start, run, type cmd, press enter..type in

ping www.yahoo.com

See if you get a reply

or

Time Out.

If you get a time out, you are not connecting to the net. If you get a reply, then there is something else going on. Maybe try another browswe like fire fox.

Or

you can release and renew the IP address

go to start, run, type cmd, press enter

type in

ipconfig /release

then

ipconfig /renew

then see if you can connect once your IP is renewed

Yahoo returned.

Just ran through ipconfig but it changed nothing for the KFI website.

Cannot ping the KFI website. Could ping yesterday on a friend's DSL after removing spybot. Hit the website several times. Brought PC home, hooked up to the calbe modem and, boom, back to square one.

I think I know what happened. You probably had spyware that embedded itself if your lsp layer and when you removed it, it removed your new access also.

can you scan it with hijackthis? just send it to a floppy and then scan your system, save the log to a floppy and then post it here, copy and paste the log here
