Need some info on x1900xt's (sexy!)

All this will be is an excuse for game developers to make their games so demanding you will need a 7900 card to play it on decent settings, kinda like you need a 7800 to play FEAR or CoD 2 on decent settings. When I say decent settings, I mean medium/high at 1280x1024. Not maxed.

I play fear maxed out (minus soft shadows and aa) at 1024x768 and in the performance test, I get 100-some average FPS, 50-some minimum FPS, and 200-some max FPS.

beedubya really likes his high resolutions though... See, you're using the resolution that is the standard, but he has it cranked up to 1280x1024. When you think about it, that's a lot more pixels that have to be dealt with.

I can play fear on high settings with AA/AF plus soft shadows enabled and it's probably about 90% playable unless you get huge particle action on the screen at which point I think that's more my RAM than anything...this is at 1024 so there's no reason a 7800GT can't do the same at 1280

COD2 didn't even scratch my card
