Blue Screen of Death

This is the error code I get. I just installed a new hard drive today. This happens as soon as the new drive hits 100% when it is formatting. I don't know what else to do.

how are you trying to formatt it?

windows? program? win98 boot disk?

I tried to format it by going into administrative tools and doing it that way. I also used Seagates program. I am using windows XP. Everytime I try it goes to the BSoD. After It does that the only way I can get it to start up is to reset the CMOS battery thing.

after 3 threads of the same issue with different errors hinker i think its safe to say that hdd is rooted. PLEASE try not to spread out the same topic over multiple threads, i don't see any reason you couldn't have added this and the other thread into the first thread

What is rooted? Should I RMA it and get a differet one? SDhould I get a SATA instead of IDE?

technically its not the blue screen of death because they only occur on DOS based OS's...
