Cant find motherboard specs for HP

i'm lookin for the motherboard specs for my HP Pavilion 4540. Its a couple years old and i'd like to upgrade the processor to a P3 but i cant find any specs on it. i maxed the memory out at 256MB and would like to get a little better perfomance out of it.

crack it open and look for some part numbers or something. There's usually a few key numbers somewhere around the processor.

Download and run Belarc Advisor (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1385).

It will give you the manufacturer as well as the model number.
