Ok, I have posted many topics on how I want you guys to build me a computer with a certain amount of money. After a few weeks, I have sold some things, including my old computer, and I have 1000 dollars. Show me what you think I should get for some insane gaming with games like BF2 on maximum settings. It would help if you showed links. Oh, and I am pretty sure I want the eVGA Geforce 7800GT. GO!!!

939 Opteron = Athlon 64.

The Opterons just overclock higher. They're also tested more, so they're very reliable. Trust me, thats like the only difference.

Yea that's one option but the Opteron overclocks better, runs cooler and is cheaper.

Screw the 148, get a 146 and with the money you save, get a soundblaster x-fi xtrememusic sound card. the sb live sucks balls. also thats not such a hot power supply. get a forton psu. (or the one in my sig ) A 146, 148 and 144 will all oc the same. (not counting the multiplier)

God guys, it is not cheaper.. you have to pay 10-20$ for a good heatsink/fan.
