3200 or 3700

Is it really worth it to spend 60 more dollars on the AMD Athlon 64 3700+ rather that buying the AMD Athlon 64 3200+? This is for gaming.

Like 200 more MHz and a 1mb L2 Cache.

Defiantly, that's equilivent to a 500 MHz boost.

depends. I'd get the cheaper one. That's what I did. Down the road when it's not enough, you can upgrade to the 3700+ when the 3200+ starts to strain just a little.

I love my 3000+. Mine runs at 2.7 stable.

get the 3700+. it BLAZES stock...but you can probably OC to at least FX-55 speeds. you won't be able to do that with any of the newer 3000+ or 3200+ chips

Yes, and I had mine higher than FX-57 speeds and stable with stock heatsink...just didn't like the temps (just under 60*C max), so i'm waitin for a heatsink and then it goes back to 2.9 ghz

Definitely recommend spending the little bit extra...I was in ur shoes and i'm not disappointed.
