Hey there I am having issued with opengl not working when I try to run Quake III or IV. I have a HP Pavilion XE743 which came with 98SE and I have since upgraded to 2000 (everything worked fine on 98). The problem occurs when I run the app. I get....

Working directory: C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena
fs_cdpath is write protected.
----- R_Init -----
Initializing OpenGL subsystem

GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

The PC comes with the Intel 810E chipset which I have upgraded the drivers from Intel to Ver. 6.7(latest). Also got the Intel App. accelerator to see if that might help. I have tried everything I can think of, I've uninstalled and reinstalled just about everything twice, I have downloaded OpenGL Renderer 3.1, I've gone to GLsetup.com which is ID's support page and got the Quake III source code(under GPL) and tired to get the 1.32 point release (dead link) and even e-mailed support (e-mail was kicked back). Any help on this issue would very very very much be appreciated!
