I've almost had it! I'm trying to upgrade from Windows98SE to XP pro. Each time I try to install I get the an error telling me to uninstall PC Anywhere. I uninstalled it, still says that I need to uninstall it. I deleted every reference to it in the registry, still the same thing. I installed it, then I uninstalled it, and I still get the same thing "upgrade blocked, must uninstall PC Anywhere 10.0!" Does anyone have any suggestions? I swear I'm getting ready to buy a IMAC!!!!

easy fix would be to use a windows 98 bootdisk and delete the partition and make a new one, format it and then install xp

go to start -> run -> type "regedit"

in the registry editor, click find "control+f" and search for PCanywhere

repeat searching while deleteing the registry entries.

I only have an upgrade CD, I dont have the original 98 CD and I didn't want to loose all my settings. Any other suggestions?
