My Xerox 17'' LCD has 2 outputs, one DVI and one VGA. I have my monitor hooked up to the DVI and VGA on my video card. Is there any difference in having both outputs connected instead of one? My card is the eVGA 6600GT. Thanks.

VGA is an analog signal where as DVI converts analog into digital. DVI also supports HDTV and a i believe a faster bandwidth. I dont even think your VC would allow you to setup 2 outputs to the same display device and there surely wouldnt be a point to it, if you had 2 signals coming from 2 different devices i think it would either not display anything or just scramble the signal.
