eww, you should go with the MSI K8N or the DFI UT NF4 ultra-D which is around the same price as that gigabyte

And also the least user-friendly and the highest-demanding. MSI is best, IMO, and Gigabyte is good too, stick with whatever you like.

I love the 3700+...I really really do...but if you're going to be doing animation you're gonna want the 3800+X2 or something dual core...if you can't afford the dual core, then get the 3700+ San Diego.
