my 6800gt has a threshold of 125c yes its hot thats how video cards are made.. Now im not sure if anyone has actual tests of how close you can get to that threshold with it being perfect.. but I have had it @ 90 before and seems fine.. but my new one hardly breaks 75
I don't see why you need something to test it? 3dmark is perfect also just play random games after oc'ing it, you will find out fairly quick
I would download nvtemp so you can see if your card is even getting hot enough to cause it/ or if its just the clocks
