Hiya,

Does anyone forsee any power shortage problems with me running a Thermaltake purepower 480W PSU with a DFI NF4 Ultra-d mobo, AMD x2 3800+ and an Ati x1800xt. I am upgrading my mainboard, CPU and graphics card but keeping my PSU for now.

I wanna be sure my PC aint gonna fall over on me because i dont have enough juice......

Check you volt rails and post back what they say. their labled on the sticker on the side of the unit. we'll see if their up to snuff.

Ok heres a photo of the side of the psu, not great quality but it is readable.

12V says 18A, and back to the left it goes 30A then 40A. I have feeling that may not be enough??

I fear that 18A will probably not be enough for that powerful video card. I would say 25A is the bare minimum, however it is likely that PSU has 2 12v rails which would mean it's enough.
