before windows installs,it ask which drive to partition and format. when i choose my hard drive, it says the drive cannot support windows xp files (or something like that) and it wont install. I'm goin to try the thing EricB suggested right now.

for some reason, i cant boot the PowerMax cd. i selected the CD-ROM as the boot drive but it doesnt recognize it or something, i burned it with nero and made it a data disc.

EricB and ZeroX thanks, i got it installin right now, i used the powermax program and formatted the hd and stuff like that then booted xp through the F5 function ZeroX told me about. Thanks so much for helpin me.

glad to hear you got it working.

i wonder though? what did you do different in the F5 option that made it work this time. did you use your mobo cd?
