i just want to know what is the "s.ata"
and "raid"
all i know is that is something on mather board or HD

Well RAID(Random Array something or other I think) is a way of storage for mulitple HD's:) I don't know much more than that though I'm afraid:rolleyes: :p

Add a little is 2 types of raid i know of. One for backing up.One for performance.Your mother board has to support Raid to use it.

SATA=Serial ATAcan travel date up to 150MBps(may be advance to 300 and 600MB in the future), faster than parellel ATA(PATA)SATA has a thinnner cable and a smaller connection and cable length is about 3 ft.
RAID = Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks or Independent Disks , is commonly used on servers in corpoate environments The most popular are raid 0 ,1 and 5 . Raid 5 is the most advanced and using disk stripping with parity and provides fautly tolerance

Serial ATA can only fit one drive per port/cable because it runs in serial - if you know the difference between serial and paralell circuits you will understand why.
