I just got a 256MB Mobile 2.0 Mini Drive and my computer won't let me put files on it. When I try to a message comes up and says:

Cannot copy "file name": The directory or file cannot be created.

How do I fix this problem?

Have you tried formatting the drive, or disabling the write protection? Maybe you need to install the drivers for it to work properly. Try downloading them from the manufacturer's website or installing the software on the CD-ROM that came with your drive. Also make sure that you have plugged it into your computer's USB port. The ports should be located on the back of your computer.

If it's broken, ask the manufacturer to supply you with a new one.

Does it happen with every type of file?
Have you tried more than one computer?

If you're running XP or 2000, you don't need to install drivers. If it's ME, 98, 95, you do need to. I'm not sure with NT.
