upgrade to a whole new system or just keep adding on?

my rig is below. i'm not a BIG gamer, i do play your normal COD2, HL2, BF2(not well) etc etc. what i was planning on doing was just adding onto the ram, and getting a new vid card (maybe x800) and then in about a year just getting an entire new system. would that be a good idea money wise? if anyone has any suggestions, please tell me, thanks

yeah upgrade first, your processor is still pretty good. for now, upgrade the video card and maybe a add a bit more ram and youll be fine.

specs are siged, and my mobo is a regular mobo. 5 pci slots, 1 agp

Get 2x1 512mb Sticks of ram, and a eVGA 6800GS

That'll cost u around $270-$300 depending on where u buy.

i already have a 512 stick. so 1 more is fine. i was thinking of the 6800gs or the x800gto

so pretty much just upgrade current rig instead of upgrading entire system?

Ya, the 6800GS will last your for a while but after this upgrade start saving up for a new system cus, it's not worth upgrading this system on more.

I say the eVGA 6800GS, the GTO wont peform as well as the 6800GS will.
