ok im trying to build my own comp, and i cant seem to get it to turn on....

i have cords in the right spot, but no power....all i get every now and then when i try to turn it on, is the fan on the processor to move for like 2 secs, then it stops...what could this mean?

and if the power box has its own switch on the back of the comp, shouldnt that at least turn on when i flip that switch?

actually, everything turns on for a split of a second, then just shuts off....

signs of not enough power or bad power supply.
the switch on the psu wont turn on the computer, you need to turn it on from the button on the case.
a couple times i have made the mistake of connecting the wires backwards.

you need to post the specs of the computer.

WUT UP

LOOK AT UR MOTHERBOARD TO SEE IF THERE IS A JUMPER SETTING FOR BIOS CLEARING>>>MAKE sure it's on normal operation....it should be near ur cmos battery...or the light/hdd connections...it should be a three-pin jumper....refer to ur motherboards manual if confused...make sure ur motherboard bios setting is on normal...NOT CLEAR!!!!! good luck
