XP critical updates: download or not?

uh, hello... long time viewer, first time poster...

i would like to know if the windows critical updates & recommended updates are needed and should or should not be loaded?

i really don't want to load anything that i don't need.

I personally download them when they are avalible. I would suggest to do so.

Absolutely! Critical and Security updates are key. However, before just applying these, you may want to make sure that your software on the computer isn't going to be affected.

Yes it is a must with all the holes in XP and 2k espcially!

Only do so if you are using a legit copy of Windows!!! A friend of mine downloaded Windows XP from Kazaa and when he tried doing the critical update his OS hosed up on him....

Yeah MicroSoft sucks with thier XP protection. I do all updates. If I have a problem with a program after, I go to the program makers & see if they have a repair for the problem. After all they want windows users to be able to use their product. If not I have a delemma. Remove update or not.
