Need help
Well I dont know how to update the bios when I cant see. So Im thinking about buying a new motherboard that already supports my cpu. So I need a suggestion on what to get I also need a board with one of the following chip sets
VIA P4X266A - VIA KT400 - VIA KT600 - VIA PT800 - SIS 645 - SIS 648 - 648FX - SIS 746FX
Hardware I have
-SL7e4 Cpu p4 478 3.0mhz 1mb cache 800fsb and it is prescott 90nm
-1gb pc3200 ddr400
-120gig maxtor ata
-9800pro ati agp 8x
Dont need pci e or sata so if you guys could recommend a good board for this setup id apreciate it thnx. Also Is there anyway to test my cpu to see if it works?? The board I have it in now does not support prescott but it sounds like its running everything just nothing comes on the screen and the board does not beep on boot up. Also out of the 20 times I tried to boot it up it gave me a visual once beeped on boot up and got to the screen were it asks if you want to boot from disc and then it just went black.
