only time i have shut down or restarted my computer is because of installing new programs/ power-outage/ leaving for a vacation during the summer for 1-2 months. i guess the computer should take a vacation once in a while too.

I leave mine on all the time except when I won't be using it for a few days because I'm gone or something. But my dad is always turning it off because he says it's "bad" for it, but he doesn't know anything about computers so I do it anyways. I've never seen any harm done.

my computer is on at all times. i turn off the monitor sometimes though. its been provin to majorly save money in the electric bill.

so you guys could leave your computers on all night and stuff. I cant since i have a damn pentium 2

That sucks, it is nice to have an AMD Athlon 2800+ XP Processor!
