Hey, I'm building a computer and I have just about everything I need with the exception of a hard drive. How do I select one that will work for my computer?

What is the best hard drive for money spent on the market today?

Thanks,
Andy

Go for one that is a minimum of 7200RPMs with an 8MB cache. The size in GB is up to you and how much stuff you're going to be loading onto it.

Since your board supports SATA, then get one of those, everything else people have said I agree with. 7200RPM. And you'll have to decide what kind of capacity you need. You can tell from my sig that I use alot of capacity, but I have determined that right now the 250gb drives in general seem to be the best value as far as price per capacity.

speaking of capacity, I think I read something about having a problem with using a hard drive that is over 137gb or something like that. Dose anyone know about that?
