Cheap Laptop Purchase

I am looking to buy a relatively cheap laptop - somewhere in the range of $500-700. It doesn't need any glamourous specs. I have looked at a couple Acers, a Dell and a Toshiba all relatively the same in hardware profiles and more or less in the same price range. Does anyone have any suggestions for which manufacturer to go with? I know you can't expect too much from a low end laptop but I want it to at least be reliable (mainly concerned with not having serious hardware issues or other major problems).

Toshiba make good reliable laptops, two owned by my uncle, one passed to me, both work good except i think the battery in mine is dead but the laptop is 4 years old so, id get a toshiba

If you are willing to buy a used lappy, cehck out RetroBox.

Their laptops come without an operating system, so you have to provide your own Windows or Linux.

toshiba makes really good quality computers! don't get a dell... DO NOT GET A DELL!!!

Well, I ahve to admit that Dell's lappys ain't too bad. Of course, that's because someone else builds 'em, though.
