Hi all,
I've bought a new Asus87n8x-x mobo and am having a wee problem with it. (I'm changing over from an old Asus a7a266).
Everything seems fine except my monitor is being forced to standby mode i.e. I can't see anything and I can't seem to get it to go on. The very first time I changed it over it was ok, booted up in safe mode and then detected new hardware - pci to pci bridge, pci Ram, VGA adapter etc..... Went through everything then said I need to restart my computer to finish set up. When I did this it powered up but the monitor would not come to life and this has remained. I put the old mobo back in and everything is fine again. Changed again and the same monitor problem is back so I can't see what's going on to fix it.
Is there a way round this? This is the first time I have done this so I could have made many mistakes. If anyone can help I'd be grateful.
Thanks
Dave.
