I have a normal, 4-5 year old colour 14-inch bedroom TV (the Philips 14PT2666 to be exact - see http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008Z9XI/ref=br_lf_ce_7/026-5964195-8940430). It doesn't have any of this HDMI output stuff or anything.

I also have a 15-inch, flat, 1024x768 computer monitor - the Videoseven L15PS. Image here: http://www.miepkniep.nl/frontoffice/images/upload/largeimage/V7_L15PS.jpg.

Obviously, to get the most out of my PS3, I'd have to purchase a nice, big 1080p HD television. But I can't afford one. I've figured that a 720p image would be better than a 480i image, and I've heard that it's possible to connect my TV to my monitor or my PS3 straight to my monitor with just a cable. Could someone tell me how to do this, what cables I'd need, or even if I can do this?

Thanks, and sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

The PS3 isn't being launched until maybe "Spring 2006".

There isn't too much documentation on it so how can anyone know how to hook up monitor to it?

I assume it will be a digital input "DVI"
