trying to delete a folder

Hello

I was trying to delete a folder "Storage"

i had actually merged two independent partitions, one being Storage. now it contins a "System Volume Information" folder.

whenever i try to delete it, i get the following message.

cannot delete System Volume Information: Access is denied

Make sure the disk nis not full or write-protected and that teh file is not currently in use.

i tried to change the attribute of the System ... folder , from read only by unchecking the box but it reverts back to read only evene after i hit apply.

you mean this file has been locked by some process hence i cant change its attributes

does this unchangability issue apply to all folders
 
There's the other way but it's required U have dual boot like Win98 along with WinXP.
Just boot to Win98 and show hidden files and folders, locate to System Volume Information in any partions and U can easily delete it without warning!
